Harvest Restaurants, POSitouch and PayChex

Harvest Restaurants (http://www.harvestrestaurants.com ) needed a solution to integrate their POSitouch Time and Attendance (http://www.positouch.com) with the PayChex Payroll Solution (http://www.paychex.com) . With 8 locations, it was taking a lot of time to enter the hours and tips into PayChex. The iPOS Payroll integration for POSitouch automated the process and significantly reduced the time it took to process a pay cycle. Store managers now simply click a button, and the import file gets created. They email the file to the corporate office for uploading to PayChex. The solution is simple and very cost effective for Harvest.

Energy Kitchen RPower SpreadSheet Application

When Energy Kitchen (http://www.energykitchen.com/ ) updated from an RPower POS system to the Aloha POS System, they needed access to the historical data from their RPower POS system. Retail Automation Products (RAP http://rap-pos.com/ ) asked InControl Software to develop an application to read the RPower database and provide reports. InControl Software built this app and provided all the reports in the Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The end result was an easy to use application with selectable dates and on screen viewing of the data in a spreadsheet that could be accessed with Excel or Open Office.

gPOS Aloha to Google Docs

gPOS Aloha to Google Docs is an application that allows restaurant operators the ability to get important restaurant sales and labor figures in a spreadsheet format, anywhere they have an internet connection and not have to rely on an expensive web based database application or have monthly subscription based costs. We have been getting very positive comments on this application and it comes with a free 15 day trial. In addition to the spreadsheet reports, it also has the capability to send text messages to your cell phone. These messages show sales, labor/sales percentages, guest counts and check averages. They can be sent as many times as you need throughout the day and provide real time info to your cell phones. Great for managers as they don't even need to go in the BOH to get important sales and cost info.

POSitouch Debit Application for Horizon House Retirement Home

We completed a POSitouch debit application for a retirement home in the Seattle area. Horizon House had a Choice Dining plan where residents would have either $150 or $300 put on their account each month and then they could charge against that in the dining facilities. Keeping track of this was becoming a problem for the site. They were using the POSitouch in house gift card application, but the process of updating/adding money to their account was tedious and reports were non-existent.

Horizon House asked us for a solution. We created an application which will automatically add the required funds to the ACCOUNT.MDB file in POSitouch (the House Accounts file) at the begining for each month Then at the POS terminal, the cashier could enter the residents account number and charge against the balance stored in this file. On the receipt, the balance remaining is displayed for the resident. If they depleted the account balance, the FOH terminal will not let them exceed the amount. The cashier could then either house charge the remaining balance, or the resident could pay cash.

The application saves Horizon House a lot of time and the accompanying reports can tell them each resident's current balance, detail the charge history and gives them an overall outstanding balance on all the accounts. In addition, we built an interface to their Great Plains GL for these transactions. If you would like more info on this, please use the Contact Us link on our website and we can answer any questions you may have.
